A reminder

Please note: you are booking the registrars’ attendance, and not the venue itself. Once you’ve chosen and booked your venue and you’re ready to book a registrar to attend your ceremony, click below.

Check Availability

We are working on a simpler way for couples to check the availability of the Town Hall ceremony rooms, or the registrar’s availability to conduct ceremonies at other venues, before making a booking.

Whilst this is being implemented, please follow these instructions to view our availability online.

  • Click here to visit the booking system for marriage ceremonies, or here for civil partnership ceremonies.
  • Enter your name and email address.
  • Agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Choose the venue you are interested in
  • Choose the date you are interested in, and you will be able to see the ceremony times we have available.

The Civil Partnership law currently states that only same-sex couples can have a civil partnership.

However, civil partnerships will be also available to opposite-sex couples from 31 December 2019.

If you are an opposite-sex couple who wants to have a civil partnership, you are now able to book a ceremony for dates after 31 December 2019.

When you book, you will be asked to declare that you are a same-sex couple to meet the terms and conditions. We are updating this as soon as we can, but in the meantime, please disregard this point of the terms and conditions.

IMPORTANT: if you click ‘reserve time’ next to any of the ceremony times, that time will be temporarily reserved for you, and you will no longer be able to see it online. Please do not click on this unless you are ready to book and pay your £100 non-refundable booking fee.

When you are ready to book, just follow the same process, except now click ‘reserve time’ next to the time you want. You will be asked to enter both of your names and contact details, and pay a £100 non-refundable booking fee with a debit or credit card.
