Saying I Do in Islington and the City of London

It is with enormous regret that we have to inform you that, in response to this unprecedented public health crisis, and in line with the government’s advice on public gatherings, we are no longer taking any new ceremony bookings.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and heed government advice with the focus being on maintaining the health and safety of our staff and the public, and returning to full service when safe to do so.

Again, we are very sorry to be taking this step, but the health of you, your guests, and our staff are our highest priority.

Should I choose to have a marriage or a civil partnership?

Both same-sex and opposite-sex couples are now able to choose whether they want to have a marriage or a civil partnership.

Couples are advised to complete their own further research before booking a marriage or civil partnership, particularly if either party is a national of another country or you are planning to live abroad, as there may be differences in how a marriage and a civil partnership are recognised in other countries.

If you would like more information on the differences between a marriage and a civil partnership, please visit gov.uk for the government’s advice.
